How To Win The War of Art and Transform Your Talent Forever
A Tale of Two Songwriters
I want to show you the daily routine of a universally adored composer:
- Fully dressed by 7 AM
- Composes from 7 - 9 AM
- Gives lessons from 9 AM - 1 PM
- Socializes and networks in afternoon
- If possible (rarely possible), he composes from 6 PM - 9 PM
- Attends concerts in evening
- If possible, he composes a little before going to bed
- He sometimes goes on writing until 1 AM (but always up again by 6 AM)
The composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You might’ve heard of him.
And here’s the daily routine of Mr. & Mrs. Most Folks:
- Wakes up without time to write or practice
- Sleepwalks through a day job
- Randomly dreams about stardom and wonders what it would be like to get discovered and be a famous musician with lots of fans and money
- Comes home from work, surfs Facebook, binge-watches Netflix
- Reads about famous musicians on the internet, thinking, "I could do that"
- When the pain and misery of procrastinating becomes too much, every 3-5 days or so, picks up the guitar and plays the same old pentatonic blues riffs and chord progressions until boredom comes, usually after about 15 minutes or so
- Then it's time for bed
And the cycle starts again.
Both paths are available.
You can follow the path of Mr & Mrs. Most Folks…
…or Mozart.
The essential difference between these two paths is a consistent and habitual routine. And that is the promise of this program, to show you exactly how to build a consistent and habitual songwriting routine so you too can produce music that people adore.
