I wrote this song for my dog Miles, who died in late June. As I was listening back to my demo, I saw a beetle on my ARP 2600 and started shooting video. And then I saw another beetle. The scene was perfectly timed to the music, which felt significant.
In between refreshing the news every minute, I reharmonized My Country, ’Tis Of Thee. Lord knows we need a reharmonization.
